ENRICHING EDUCATION

[21a top] R’ Yehoshua ben Gamla instituted that local authorities should install teachers of Torah to children in every district and town. Children of ages six or seven would be taught by these teachers (to ensure that Torah would not be forgotten by Israel).

Prac-T-cal Tidbits: It is of the utmost importance that all our children get the best possible Jewish education. We must, individually and collectively, work tirelessly for every one of our kids to be blessed with immersion in a Torah education environment in schools full of Torah. Teachers deserve great credit for helping to mold the next generation’s leaders and parents should be proud to help bring up their children in the ways of Hashem.
