HOLY HANDOUTS

[110b bottom] Gemarah: The Torah states, “Do not leave over a worker’s pay until the next morning.”
R’ Rosner: The Chofetz Chaim was once traveling with an assistant and a wagon driver. When they exited the wagon, the assistant paid the driver, and the Rebbe asked what he was thinking. The assistant answered, “I was just thinking that we needed to pay the driver for the trip.” The Chofetz Chaim mentioned that he should have been acting with intention to fulfill G-d’s commandments (ie: Tzedakah, and all the Mitzvos/Aveiros associated with not delaying worker’s payments).

D-E-ep Thoughts: There are numerous times throughout the day that instead of just going through repetitive actions, we could be gaining infinite reward. Our minds must rule our hearts and we should continuously be connecting and conversing with G-d.

Today’s P.I.P. (Put Into Practice) TIP: The next time we pay a babysitter, reimburse a worker, or even give Tzedakah, we should have in mind to be performing Hashem’s Will.
