INAPPROPRIATE IMPURITIES

[105b top] Braisa: If an impure Zav (one who had an abnormal seminal discharge) and a pure person simultaneously climb a weak tree/branch, since the structure they share is weak, the pure person becomes impure (for they are effectively resting on each other).
R’ Rosner quoting Oznayim Latorah: In the Torah, about a Zav, [Vayikra: Perek15,Pasuk1] it states, דַּבְּרוּ֙ אֶל־בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וַֽאֲמַרְתֶּ֖ם אֲלֵהֶ֑ם (Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them..) instead of just writing “Tell them this.” This repetition teaches us never to be embarrassed or bashful about talking about a Zav or any sensitive Torah matters. Nothing Holy is inappropriate as long as it is in a proper setting. Most people who say it is inappropriate to talk about these things are the ones who read books and see movies which are inherently and blatantly inappropriate behind closed doors. RambaM: The Hebrew language is called “Lashon HaKodesh” because everything in it is inherently HOLY.

D-E-ep Thoughts: Hashem makes everything with spiritual positive purposes. Even unKosher animals and inappropriate images are meant to help us grow by staying away from them. We have to remember that everything around us gives us the potential to become greater and grow in Holiness.

Today’s P.I.P. (Put Into Practice) TIP: The next time we find ourselves thinking that something or someone is inappropriate, we should stop and reflect on what might be wrong within ourselves and our own lives. Hashem uses everything around us to teach us specifically catered lessons and to help us grow.
