MOVING MEZUZAHS

[102a top] Braisa: Rabbis: If one rents a house to his fellow, it is incumbent upon the tenant to put up a Mezuzah. When the tenant’s lease is up, he should leave the Mezuzah on the rental home (if another Jew is moving in).

Prac-T-cal Tidbits: It is important to care care of those who succeed us. Just as we rear our children with proper ethics and instill a love of G-d, so too should we leave our fellow friends with pieces of Holiness (physical, mental, and emotional). Through these ways, we ensure that Hashem’s presence is maintained within the areas that we have dwelled.
