[15a middle] Rava to R’ Chiya: Since a creditor may not receive compensation (for improvements to the land) from a gift, but may collect it from a sale, it emerges that a gift is stronger than a sale.

Prac-T-cal Tidbits: We should always try to help our fellow brothers and sister in need, even if we end up with less compensation. If we are able to give bargains on products/items to those with less means, we should assist wherever possible. Instead of looking at our days with purely selfish motivations, we should try to keep others in mind throughout our dealings as well.
