BATHHOUSE BUMBLES

[6b bottom] Gemarah: There was a bathhouse that was in dispute between two parties. One of the disputants ‘sanctified’ the bathhouse, whereupon all the sages avoided washing themselves in it, out of concern that it might be consecrated [and it is forbidden to do Me’ilah (make personal use of Temple property)].

Prac-T-cal Tidbits: We should always have such alacrity and zealousness when attempting to do Mitzvos and Torah learning. It is important to perform as fast as possible (while still acting correctly) to make ourselves Holy and spiritually uplifted (especially if it helps to avoid arguments in the process).
