[113a middle] Gemarah: ‘Dina d’malchusa Dina’ is usually interpreted to mean that we have to be law abiding citizens [of secular government (as long as it is not in direct contradiction to Torah law)].

Prac-T-cal Tidbits: We should have an appreciation for the lands in which we reside and honor the laws of these lands. This will not only help foster proper justice communally, but also help bring a Kiddush Hashem (by demonstrating how Jews as a nation act morally, responsibly, and respectfully).
