[103a top] Rosh: “A” made a purchase of land indicating the sale was for “B,” (but it really was meant for “A”’s own self). “A” then wanted “B” to write a new document to show a “sale” of the property in question to “A” (to clearly show “A”’s rightful ownership). However, we do not force “B” to write this document, since it would make “B” appear as if he is financially unstable (and needed to sell his properties for money). In general, we do not force people into situations that may make them appear to others in bad light [but, if there is no loss to them, they are generally obligated to help people if it is at no cost to them].
D-E-ep Thoughts: Whenever we encounter situations where we can be of help, it is our obligation to help service others. If it involves little or no effort on our parts, we should jump to be of assistance. When it costs a larger investment of time or money we must weigh our current obligations and decide where best to expend our efforts. We do not live in isolated bubbles and must work to better the world around us (and thereby raise ourselves as well).
