[3b middle] R’ Yehudah quoting Rav: Regarding a Jewish maidservant, the Pasuk states, “And she will go out free, without money.” This implies that while this master does not receive money, there is another “master” [a father (when marrying off his daughter)] who does receive money.

D-E-ep Thoughts: We must constantly be aware of all our multiple relationships in our lives. Not only are we someone’s child, but also another’s parent. We are teachers, as well as students. And bosses while engaging in servitude. We always have to answer to the ‘Big Boss’ and should use His laws to guide all our choices and actions in our lives.
