FORGIVING FURY

[88a middle] R’ Yehoshua ben Levi: The land of Israel was not destroyed until seven royal courts performed idolatry in its midst (over a course of 850 years).

Prac-T-cal Tidbits: Hashem’s kindness is so powerful that He waited so many years (while tolerating tremendous evil) before destroying the land. We should realize that G-d has infinite mercy and therefore it is never too late for us do Teshuva (and return to Him). Also, just as G-d is extremely forgiving, so too should we be open to re-acceptance after people have wronged us as well.
