PRESUMED PATTERNS

[73a bottom] Tosephos: There are three types of Ohnes (accidents): Those that are always expected, those that are never expected, and those that are sometimes expected to happen.

D-E-ep Thoughts: Hashem continually creates the world, but we get used to ‘expected patterns.’ Nature (according to Judaism) is NOT a law. Yes, 10 out of 10 times a cup will fall when we release it, but it does not do so because gravity pulls upon it. Hashem sets up observable repetitive actions only in order for us to have the freewill to choose not to see Him. It is our mission in life to come closer to G-d and to reveal His Presence behind the smokescreen.
