[62a bottom] R’ Yehudah: One may not eat until his/her animal is fed first.
Just as our pets are reliant upon us for all their needs, so too we rely upon G-d for everything that we need.

D-E-ep Thoughts: We must always remember that all we have is truly only by Hashem’s grace and mercy. When we are able to do actions that remind of us this reality, we are better able to keep proper outlooks on life and constantly thank Hashem throughout our days.
