COMMUNICATED COMPOSITIONS

[60b middle] Gemarah: By right, the Oral law was never meant to be written down.
However, since much of Torah was running the risk of being forgotten, the generational needs made it a requisite for the oral portions to be recorded in written form.
R’ Rosner explaining R’ Yaakov Kaminetsky: So much of learning Torah and its structure today is extremely different than what it used to be. Even though the content itself never changes, the mediums do morph based on situations in life. Learning styles need to be molded for specific audiences.

D-E-ep Thoughts: We have to recognize that people (and especially children) have different methods for obtaining and retaining knowledge, and must act and respond accordingly. We should also use all the (technological) tools at our disposal to disseminate the Torah and its values wherever we can [ie: learning over the phone/webcam and listening to Shiyurim/lectures from the web].
