PEACEFUL PROCESSES

[59a bottom] Mishnah: Certain rules were declared by the Sages in order to foster peace [such as: A Kohen is called first to the Torah in the Synagogues, followed by a Levi, and after him a Yisroel (this way, there would not be quarreling over who goes first)].

Prac-T-cal Tidbits: We should strive to participate in customs and events that help foster harmony. By starting with ourselves, we should first create inner peace and then spread it to our spouses, families, neighborhoods, and nations around us.
