CAUSING CATASTROPHES

[54a bottom] Mishnah [Terumos]: One many not (Rabbinically) immerse vessels in a Mikvah on Shabbos (to fix them), but if it was done accidentally, they are usable.
R’ Yosef Engel quoting Mikubalim: The same law applies by Bitul (having a negligible amount of unKosher food mixed into a Kosher substance), if it was done accidentally it is OK. Every item in the world contains sparks of Holiness. If a non-Kosher piece of meat ended up negated and consumed within a Kosher mixture, it was “meant” to be uplifted and revealed at that time. But, we are never allowed to force that issue and make it happen willfully on our own. G-d will create the “accident” when He wants it to be.

D-E-ep Thoughts: There are times when we may think that someone “deserves” something and we should be the ones to ‘give it to them.’ However, we must never play G-d. Aside from the fact that we never truly know the entire situation, we have no ‘right’ to take the law into our own hands. Whatever is destined will be. We just have to will appropriately and act in accordance with the laws that G-d sets forth for us.
