D-E-ep Thoughts (based on R’ Shalom Arush): When it comes to matters of spiritual law and Mitzvos, we must recognize that we are dealing with loftier realms that are not ‘rooted’ in the earth. Physical desires and pleasures, by nature, draw us downward and away from Holiness. We are tasked with either acting physically with absolute pure intentions, or avoiding them if we are not strongly connected to the Heavens. We must constantly pray to Hashem for His help everyday [minimum of 30 minutes] for Holiness through Hisbodidus (personal connection, meditation, and alone prayer times).
