Women, in general, are not obligated in the commandment of, “be fruitful and multiply,” but are still involved in the prohibition against wasting male seed.

D-E-ep Thoughts: Just because people are not associated with all requirements/actions, that does not mean they are allowed to ruin things for others who are. We should always be considerate of other peoples’ projects and travails even if not they are not ‘our deals.’ Although we may not get in the way of others (and must avoid similar violations), we should make efforts to go in the opposite extreme directions and help out even in places where we are not asked or even specifically needed (without stepping on toes). This is the true Jewish trait of “Gemilus Chassadim” (loving-kindness); to give of ourselves freely and unrequested.
