[6b bottom] Rabbah quoting R’ Shimon: A “Davar She’aino Miskavein” (a normally prohibited act that is done without the original required intention to violate) is permitted [as long as the act does not ‘100% necessitate’ a prohibition being transgressed in the process].

D-E-ep Thoughts: In reality, we can never be sure anything will happen with certainty. We must assume G-d will run the world in the same repetitive patterns that we are used to (ie: gravity) in order to stay sane and move forward in life [imagine if every time we took a step to the left we would be warped into a new dimension, no one would ever be able to walk sideways!]. We are required to act in this world but we must remember that it is always G-d that brings everything into actualization. This way we will never to too proud of our accomplishments (as we know Hashem is the One who did it anyway) and keep proper levels of humility.
