8 Adar II, 5774 (3/10/14) – Sukkah#35 {Tani}
Gemarah: Various details of the four species should be kept beautiful throughout the holiday. It specifically details the esrog, about how it should not be left out to shrivel up or lose its skin. If so, it would become unworthy to be included in the mitzvah.
T’s Lesson: According to the law, we must start our Mitzvah process with beautiful species. But this is not enough. We have to ensure and maintain these standards at top notch levels. This is how we view all our actions throughout life, as well as being constantly vigilant about our mitzvos. Some examples include: checking our mezuzos and tefillin, as well as our tzitzis and tallieisim that they are in perfect order to use to serve Hashem.
