LOVE LEADING

[71a top] Gemarah: Anyone that is a “Ben Neichar” (estranged from his father, aka: a heretic) may not eat from the Korban Pesach (sacrifice).
Chazon Ish: Back in the days, when G-d’s presence was much more openly manifest in the world, it was easy to define people as heretics (who openly defied Hashem’s reality) and shun them away. But nowadays, when G-d much more hidden, we cannot easily define people as defying G-d directly, and should not push them away (as it does not really help their situations). We need to have our arms open wide with love to embrace our fellow brethren back when they are ready.

D-E-ep Thoughts: We should never lash out at people just because they do something wrong. We must recognize our places in this world as having reasons and purposes for our actions. If we are able to help by rebuking (only at most appropriate times and with very gentle care) we are obligated to help. But, the best way to help people who have fallen off the ‘Path of Life’ is to show them how truly amazing, smooth and beautiful the right road really is (and not to talk badly about the circuitous, thorn-filled, bumpy routes that they are currently on). We can attract many more flies with honey than we can with vinegar. Let G-d’s ‘Love Light’ lead the way for ourselves and others to join the greatest eternal truth there is.
