BEING CAREFUL

[64b bottom] Abaye married a woman who previously buried two husbands [he does not hold that only two occurrences establish a Chazakah (presumption), but rather three are required]. However, he too died after his marriage to her. One should generally take care to avoid dangerous situations.

Prac-T-cal Tidbits: We should never place ourselves in unnecessary precarious situations and always take proper precautions. Emunah (belief) and Bitachon (faith) mandate us to do our Hishtadlus (personal work) in order for Hashem to help us get desired results. Additionally, we must not do crazy actions and expect miracles to help us out of them [ie: standing in the middle of a busy active highway]. Take proper precautions in our daily lives to be safe, and understand G-d is the One in complete control.
