Hashem only allows these unique relationships because He recognizes how unbelievably difficult these situations are. Baalei Mussar: Since only here does the Torah work out special permissibility, this proves that in every other circumstance it is possible and actually within our abilities to rise above temptation and prohibition.

D-E-ep Thoughts: Hashem never gives us any situations that we are unable to handle. This is true on a national and individualistic level as well. Every specific encounter and experience is brought to us directly from G-d. May we always recognize our tests and show Hashem that we know what good we are capable of.
