MOVING FORWARD

[43b bottom] RambaM (disagreeing with Tosephos): After his wife passes away, a man may get engaged immediately (even that day) and finalize a marriage to a new woman after his thirty days of mourning are completed (if he still has not yet had children or has young children at home that might need a mother).

D-E-ep Thoughts: It is extremely important in Judaism to mourn and remember special times, places, and people. However, this is only to do be in order to help enhance our souls and further our spirituality and connections with our creator. When there are other important responsibilities at play, we must understand how to respect the current situations but also be able to move forward in life.
