[42a top] Braisa: A male and a female convert who were married prior to their conversion must wait three months after their conversion to be intimate again. They must wait and see if she is pregnant in order to differentiate between offspring that was conceived with sanctity while Jewish and those which were not (prior to conversion).

Prac-T-cal Tidbits: Every Jewish child brought into this world in a loving and caring relationship with the intention to have children for the rights reasons is conceived in “sanctity.” We should always try our best to raise our children in sanctified ways. We should continue their holiness from conception and birth throughout their upbringing, G-d willing, with Torah, Chuppah (marriage) and good deeds.
