Light In Sight

[16b bottom] R’ Shemen bar Abbah quoting R’ Yochanan: One should never let a Rabbinic prohibition concerning Shabbos or YomTov seem minor to him/her because S’michah (leaning on an animal) is only a Rabbinic prohibition and yet the greats of the generation disputed each other for five successive generations about this particular ruling.

T’s Lesson: We must treat all laws as if they are the most stringent [as the reward of a mitzvah is another one while a sin leads to other sins (Pirkei Avos)]. We should try to be careful when observing all different types of Mitzvos.
