IGNOBLE IGNORANCE

[47a top] R’ Ami: There are differences between people who blatantly eat forbidden foods rebelliously (Mins), rather than those who simply succumb to their physical desires (Mumars).
Chazon Ish: Most people nowadays (that do not follow Mitzvos) are not considered “rebellious,” they just simply have not been shown the love for Torah. It was one thing to outrightly deny G-d with dozens of miracles occurring daily in the Beis Hamikdash (that would show great chutzpah/audacity). But now, when G-d is hidden, people are mostly acting out of senses of simple unawareness.

D-E-ep Thoughts (based on R’ Rosner): Whenever we encounter fellow Jews, we have to embrace them and do whatever we can to help them come even a little closer to Hashem. We will gain much more with warm open arms to show the brilliant love of Judaism, rather than ridicule or shun people for their wrongdoings (and G-d forbid turn them even further away).
