R’ Rosner & Keren Oreh: By washing, we recognize that Hashem (and not “our hands”) is in full control. Sexual relations and eating (both possible purely physical pleasures) must be done with correct spiritual Holy intentions [and not just left as animalistic instinctual actions].

D-E-ep Thoughts: We must always stop and analyze if what we are doing is rooted in physical or sacred grounds. We must never get pulled under by the Yetzer Hara’s strong tides and firmly grasp onto our shores of spirituality.
