GUILTY ADMISSIONS

[84b top] Gemarah: All opinions agree that if a judge erred in a matter, which was taught clearly in a Mishnah, he may reverse his verdict.

Prac-T-cal Tidbits: People should never think of themselves as too high and mighty that they could not possibly admit to making mistakes. Arrogance is the epitome of haughtiness. We should practice saying, “I do not know,” and admit that we do not understand everything. Mistakes happen. But when they do, we must know how to face them with humility. Moshe Rabbeinu was “more humble than any person on earth.” We should always be open to admitting and learning from our mistakes, and use every means possible to correct our flaws and use the momentum to grow even higher spiritually.
