Lightning Bursts

[13b top] R’ Yehudah: Angels peek in and out of Hashem’s presence (as they want to come close, but run away in fear/awe) like bolts of lightning flashing quickly. R’ Pinkas: We live our lives wandering through dark deserts at night. Every so often, flashes of lightning light up the sky and reveal the path to follow. These images must be imprinted on our minds to guide us through the darkness that again follows, for us to continue on our proper paths.

E’s Lesson: Hashem sends us bursts of obvious Divine Providence and inspiration for us to recognize and remember that He is always in our lives. Any experience that we are able to recall in which we clearly recognized the Hand of G-d, we must reflect upon continually to keep us properly motivated and spiritually aware through the rest of our lives.
