This foundational concept of <em>YomTov<\/em> is all about togetherness and unity among people, <em>Bein Adam L\u2019chaveiru<\/em> (between man and fellow man). That is why cooking and carrying are allowed, because they enhance interpersonal relationships. In the <em>Torah<\/em> by the first ever <em>Pesach<\/em> (a <em>YomTov<\/em>) it is actually called <em>Shabbos<\/em> (because that day had laws unlike all other Holidays and more similar to <em>Shabbos<\/em> ie: they were not allowed to go out of their homes and were commanded to stay alone with families in their houses when Hashem came to slay Egypt\u2019s firstborns).<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #339966;\"><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>E\u2019s Lesson<\/strong><\/span>: We must remember that our relationship with our fellow Jews must not be pushed aside \u201cfor the sake of G-d.\u201d This is why we have two tablets of the commandments and not just one stone. The \u201csecond\u201d five commandments are just as important (and in fact exactly parallel) as the first five.
