The Gemarah teaches that the only way to benefit from ash, even to do a mitzvah such as covering blood, is to have the intention ahead of time. A person may not just find ash later and use it. One needs to think ahead and plan for the future. As Pireki Avos teaches, \u201cWho is wise? One who foresees the future of his actions.\u201d We should always plan for the future and not wait until the last minute.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Gemarah<\/span> [8b bottom]: On <em>YomTov<\/em>, the Rabbis did not trouble one to cover the blood of a \u201c<em>koy<\/em>\u201d since its classification is doubtful [either a <em>Chayah<\/em> (wild animal) or a <em>Beheima<\/em> (domesticated animal)]. If one did cover it, that would fall into the action category of \u00a0\u201c<em>tirchah shelo litsorech<\/em>\u201d, a \u201cburden that is not for a need\/ a needless effort.\u201d This activity may even falsely show others that forbidden fats of this animal are <em>Halachically<\/em> permitted.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>T\u2019s Lesson #2<\/strong><\/span>: We should refrain from doing actions that are not necessary on YomTov. We should not think to ourselves \u201cIf only I had these days to work, I could make more money.\u201d Our Rabbis help ensure that we relax and refrain from unnecessary work.
