So, too,\u00a0in battling one\u2019s evil inclination, one can prevail over it . . . only\u00a0with alacrity that comes from joy and from a heart that is free and\u00a0cleansed from every trace of worry and sadness . . .<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p7\"><span class=\"s2\">Chassidic saying<\/span><span class=\"s1\">:\u00a0Melancholy is not a sin. But the spiritual damage which melancholy can\u00a0cause, the gravest of sins cannot cause.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p5\"><span class=\"s1\">When we do not serve Hashem with Happiness, we are doing a\u00a0great disservice not only to Hashem but to ourselves as well. If we can not serve Hashem when He does great things for us, G-d forbid, He may bring us not\u00a0great things to wake us up and realize how much we need Him and want His help always.\u00a0Conversely, some times when people sin, they feel good about doing it. This is extra\u00a0bad and as if they have slapped the\u00a0\u201cFace\u201d\u00a0of Hashem. If a person feels the\u00a0need to sin, he\/she should at least feel some remorse in doing so.\u00a0Otherwise, it is doubly bad and doubly rebellious.\u00a0G-d wants to see us serving Him with Joy not through robotic actions (going\u00a0through motions without any real feeling).\u00a0We can only truly fight the <i>Yetzer Hara <\/i>when we are happy and joyous. Otherwise, Heaven forbid,\u00a0it will overthrow people. Worry and sadness destroy happiness and the good feelings inside that help us serve Hashem properly.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p5\"><span class=\"s1\">May we all feel joy in our hearts, minds, and souls, and become much more likely to pursue the proper paths to come closer to Hashem. By\u00a0realizing and actualizing the defeat of our Yetzer Haras we will help bring\u00a0the coming\u00a0of Moshiach and the building of the third Beis Hamikdash speedily in our days.
