Firstly, this shows how eager we are for it and that it is pleasurable for us (and not a burden). Secondly, the entire purpose of Shabbos is to elevate our next week up to a new a level rather than just dropping \u2018back\u2019 into a workweek. We do not go in circular patterns in Judaism, as we are on a spiraling double helix of DNA, transforming our lives to new and greater heights.
