ADJUSTING ATTRIBUTES

[2b top] R’ Chisda: When a king and the community are supposed to be judged before Hashem, the king should approach first, in order for the king not to bear the anger of Hashem towards the community.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        R’ Rosner: The king is able to gain more favorable judgements. Whenever we beseech Hashem, we should look to connect to the attribute of “Rachamim” (compassion) rather than “Din” (strict judgement).

D-E-ep Thoughts: G-d brings down energies into the world through systematic pipelines known as the Sefiros. We should focus on opening and connecting with the Attributes that we want to flow our way (ie: compassion) and decrease on involvement with those we want less of in our lives (harsh/strict judgements).

Today’s P.I.P. (Put Into Practice) TIP: One way for men to practically decrease “Din” in their lives is by shaving/shortening down the top of their head hairs. Increasing “Rachamim” is accomplished by growing/lengthening the beard hairs.
