RIGHTFUL RETURNINGS

[52a top] Gemarah: If someone took a deposit from a minor, he should not return it to him [but rather keep it somewhere safe until the minor gets old enough and responsible enough] (since the minor is incapable of caring for it properly, even though he had it originally).
Yad Rama: Even if one would give it back, it is not considered a “return” because the minor is not one who has true Daas (knowledge).

D-E-ep Thoughts: We must be cautious and considerate as to where we ‘dump’ things onto. Responsibilities must not be shirked off onto others, as G-d is always trying to teach us lessons and help us become better people.

Today’s P.I.P. (Put Into Practice) TIP: If we must pass something to another, we should make sure the recipient is highly capable and truthfully willing help us out (and not just being guilted into it).
