‘NATURAL’ NOURISHMENT

[114a bottom] Gemarah: The Torah states [Devarim Perek,Pauk10]: “And you will eat and be sated, and you shall bless…”
Rabbeinu Bachai: When G-d tell us to bless Him, it is not because He needs Brachos. Since Hashem is the One True source of all blessings, our “Baruch” acknowledges and reminds ourselves of this truism. Through verbalization, we are properly declaring and demonstrating that our food comes from Divine Providence and not mistakenly giving false credit simply to “nature.”

D-E-ep Thoughts: Jews do not believe in nature nor gravity. Hashem works by creating repetitive predictable patterns just in order to give people the option NOT to see Him. There are no such “laws” of science and G-d can ‘break’ them at any moment to show His ultimate Power. Hashem continually recreates the world in recurring orders for us to gain reward by discovering His Energy.

Today’s P.I.P. (Put Into Practice) TIP: Instead of taking expectations for granted, let us pause several times throughout the day and thank Hashem for His consistent creations.
