[7b middle] Gemarah: It makes sense to say that a man may give two Perutas to a woman over the course of a day (with the intention of marrying ‘half’ of her initially and the other ‘half’ of her later on) for it to be a combined valid betrothal [as one entire day is cumulative]
R’ Rosner quoting Shaerim Mitzyonim Behalacha: Even though there is not even the slightest bit of time that one may retract from a Kidushin once effected, by addition, there is much more leeway for combined time.

D-E-ep Thoughts: Although evil (Heaven forbid) may be done at times, we separate bad actions and isolate their incidents. Contrarily, we always have opportunity to build onto greatness. Even one little step at a time will complete miles of accomplishment. Instead of becoming daunted or overwhelmed, we must look at every day as having chances to achieve, and embrace each new sunrise with enthusiasm and prospective optimism.
