[10a bottom] Reish Lakish: After Avraham’s guests ate, they began to thank him for the food. Avraham would stop them and mention that their food did not come from him, but rather from G-d. Therefore, they should rather give thanks, praise, and blessings to the Creator of the world.
D-E-ep Thoughts: Whatever we are involved with in this world, we have to remember where everything is constantly coming from. Our food, livelihood, and even the air we breathe are constant gifts from G-d (for which we must always be thankful). We should never lose focus and encourage others to recognize this lesson as well.
