ISRAELI DREAMS

[110b bottom] Rabbis: A person should always dwell in Eretz Yisrael (Israel), even if he has to dwell in a city consisting mostly of idolaters (versus living outside of the Land among a majority of Jews). For, “Whoever dwells outside of Israel is viewed as if he/she has no G-d,” [and is regarded as an idol worshiper (Chas Vi’shalom, Heaven forbid)].

Prac-T-cal Tidbits: The holiness and uniqueness of Israel is beyond compare. Our forefathers yearned for Israel for thousands of years and here we have the ability to go whenever we want! Some commentators say that it is a Biblical commandment to live there, while others hold it is only Rabbinic. Yet, all agree that this is where we are supposed to be. We should all make plans to get to Israel to visit and eventually to permanently live.
