RESULTANT ACTIONS

[49a top] Mishna: What makes a Mamzer (an illegitimate child)?
R’ Moshe Feinstein: There cannot be a Mamzer without a Maase Bi’ah (an ACT of a forbidden relationship) [aka: artificial insemination from a prohibited father would not create a Mamzer].

D-E-ep Thoughts: We are only judged in this word based on our actions, and NOT our results. Hashem is the One who wills things to happen or not.  If Hashem wills an outcome, it will be (regardless of how it may come about). Just because we may have all the proper intentions to fulfill a positive commandment and it did not get completed (because G-d did not will it to be), that does not mean we do not get the credit for it. We must remember that G-d instructs us with a book of commandments (of how to act) and not a book of required results (and accomplishments) for us to achieve in our lifetime.
